Creative design weekend
Following a highly successful workshop in 2018, our Creative Design experience is back, and this year for a whole weekend. Create your own piece of art and design inspired by Blickling's extraordinary Renaissance books.
- Booking essential
- Admission applies
On Saturday, you'll have a hands-on discovery session with the rare books themselves, led by experts from UEA, handling books from the first centuries of the printing press. On Sunday, you'll make your own creative response, working alongside Norfolk based graphic designers to print your own artwork. No previous artistic experience necessary!
This event is in partnership with the Unlocking the Archive team at University of East Anglia and in collaboration with Darren Leader Studio.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|

Free access to the shops, cafés, RAF Oulton Museum, plant centre, second-hand bookshop, Loft Gallery exhibitions and wider estate, including all park walks. Fishing permits are available at the lakeside.
Parking and entry is free for National Trust members. For non-members there is a fixed daily charge of £5 for all car parks, which will go towards the care, maintenance and conservation of the parkland and ensure that the parking areas are maintained. The machine does not take notes, so please ensure you have £5 of coins with you. However, if needed, visitors can pay for parking by notes or card at Estate Barn visitor reception. There is no charge for blue badge holders in the allocated areas.
Winter pricing for the whole property covers 1 January - 10 March and 28 October - 29 November.
