Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Join friends and family for a relaxed and fun weekend in the stunning grounds at Polesden Lacey, with live music and plenty to see and do. Thursday 2 June - Sunday 5 June
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
The last week in May promises to be a fun-filled period with the half term week running straight into a weekend of celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. At Polesden Lacey we are planning to celebrate this special event by providing a relaxed, fun and family-focused venue where you can take part in a treasure hunt trail, book a place to make floral crowns or just enjoy the 1950s ambience whilst listening to live music on the South terrace with a picnic.
On Friday 3rd June, Surrey Society of Model Engineers will be running train rides in the grounds and the Rangers will be on hand to talk about all the fantastic work they do on the estate. You may also like to buy something from their woodworking stand.
Polesden Lacey’s unique links with the Royal family will be highlighted through the treasure hunt trail and interpretations around the property, as well as through the ‘Treasured Possessions’ exhibition that will be running in the house.
You can stock-up on picnic items from the coffee shop or cafe on your way into the property. Alternatively you can visit the Beech Hut as you explore the grounds, where you can pick up coffee, teas and other light refreshments or some delicious Jude's ice cream.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|
