Imaginations young and old are alive with mystical mirrors and mythical creatures as our mysteriously named craft sessions return with a fantastical twist.

Budding little crafters and aspiring artists are set to be inspired by stunning pieces like our magical Pier Glass mirror and fabulous flock of Ho-Ho birds.

Get stuck in with watercolour or make your own kaleidoscope (session alternate each week).

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Please note...

Peak ticket applies 2 March - 3 November, Wednesday - Sunday (plus Bank Holiday Mondays); and 7 - 22 December, Saturday and Sunday.

Off-peak ticket applies every day 1 January - 1 March, 4 November - 6 December and 23 - 31 December; also, Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) and Tuesdays 2 March - 3 November.

Parking is free for National Trust members. If you're not a member the following parking charges apply:

Between 2 March and 3 November:

£7 all day, £4 after 3pm, £2 after 5pm. Coaches £10.

Between 1 January - 1 March and 4 November - 31 December: £4

Access to the Parkland is free all year round.

Suitability
All ages are welcome
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Meeting point
Drop into the house workshop and please remember to bring along your admission ticket. National Trust members are free.
What to bring and wear
Craft fun can occasionally create a little mess along with wondrous works of art, so please wear clothes that are fine for budding artists and their tools.
Accessibility
All ages are welcome to get crafting each Thursday and Friday (with the same activity on both days, rotating each week) in our wonderful house workshop between 12noon and 3pm.
Other
This event is free of charge although we really appreciate charity donations. It’s important to note that normal admission charges do still apply to the car park, house and gardens.
