A walk through fields and along the river Stour, including a visit to a beautiful rural church. Distance: 6 miles. Time: approx. 2 - 3 hours.

Step into early spring and see the countryside coming to life on this guided estate walk. Take in the village of Shapwick and the unspoilt pastoral landscape adjacent to the River Tarrant and even vis the Church of St Mary – a protected ancient building with paintings which date from the 13th century.
Distance: 6 miles. Time approx. 2 - 3 hours.

- Unfortunately dogs are not welcome at this event.
- Meeting point
- Meet at the car park next to the Parish Church of Saint Bartholomew (OS Explorer 118 ST 937017) approximately 15 minutes before the start of the walk. The turn is by the Shapwick war memorial.
- What to bring and wear
- Please wear appropriate stout walking shoes and clothing for the weather conditions. We recommend bringing water and any food you may require. The ground can be very wet and muddy at this time of year
- The walk will cross various ground conditions and may be muddy following rain. Walks open to National Trust members and non-members. Walk not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
