'Work Hard' behind the scenes tours - 17-21 February

Step behind closed doors and find out more about the Gibbs family's servants and what working life at Tyntesfield was like. Please note that during half term tickets for the tours will be on a first come, first served basis.

  • Booking not needed

Follow in the footsteps of Hemmings the butler, who worked at Tyntesfield in the Victorian period, and see how what life was like for the servants, including the kitchen and the scullery.

The tour does not visit every room in the house, but shows rooms not normally open to the public. On weekdays during January and February, if you do not wish to go on a tour, a limited number of rooms will be on display and included in the grounds only ticket price.
