Make a Somerset sheep hurdle 2020

New for 2020: Under the expert guidance of the Somerset Bodgers, this is a one day course in which you will make a single full sized sheep hurdle or, two miniature ones that you can use as plant supports in your garden.

  • Booking essential

The Bodgers will show you how to split chestnut poles, cut them to length, cut mortices and tenons and fit the hurdle together. By the end of the day you will be able to fix all the parts together in place with copper nails to create your finished hurdle. This item should then last many years in your garden and, once you know how to make one, making more is easy.
