Outdoor theatre: As you like it

In Elizabethan costume, the all-male cast of The Lord Chamberlain’s Men bring As you like it. Free from the constraints of their former lives, in the Forest of Arden everyone wrestles with what it really means to be yourself.

Separately, Rosalind and her dear friend Celia, the noble Orlando, and the usurped Duke Senior and his courtiers get banished and set up new lives in the Forest of Arden. Free from the constraints of their former lives lovers tussle, wits and fools spar, familial bonds are challenged, and everyone wrestles with what it really means to be yourself.

With gates opening at 5.45pm, bring your picnics, blankets and camping chairs to the north lawn for an evening of lively entertainment. There's a ten minute walk from the carpark to the north lawn so make sure you can comfortably carry all your belongings. Tickets £19 Under 5's go free. Booking essential.

What to bring and wear
You'll need to bring camping chairs, blankets and torches as well as a picnic. There's 10 minute walk through the gardens to the north lawn where the performance will take place.
Accessibility
The route to the north lawn is accessible via hard gravel paths.

This performance will go ahead in all but the very worst of weather and tickets are non-refundable except in the case that the event is cancelled.
