Family explorers: Autumn adventures
As summer green makes way for the spectacular reds, oranges and yellows of autumn, head out into the gardens at Stowe for leaf crunching, tree climbing and conker hunting.

Pick up a free guide for autumn adventures and see which of nature's treasures you can find, from the Farmhouse Garden harvest to fruits in the orchard. We've chosen our favourite autumnal '50 things to do before you’re 11¾' challenges for you to try and once you're all adventured out, head back to the warmth of the cafe for a delicious hot chocolate treat.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

- Pick up your guide from The New Inn at Stowe before heading into the gardens. You can pick up a '50 things' scrapbook here too and don't forget to come back to claim your stickers!
- What to bring and wear
- Be sure to wear comfy shoes for walking so you can do plenty of exploring.
- The gardens are partly accessible with steep slopes and uneven terrain. Mobility buggies are available to hire. Please call us to discuss your requirements on 01280 817156.
