What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

You can walk to the stones for free, but our car park is reserved for those buying tickets for our full Visitor Experience, which includes a guided tour with one of our official tour guides and use of audio guides, available in 11 languages.

Pre-purchase and save: visit giantscausewaytickets.com and save £1.50 on adult admission, 75p on child admission and £3.75 on family admission.

Go green and save: arrive by public transport, bicycle or on foot and save £1.50 on adult admission, 75p on child admission and £3.75 on family admission.

Green admission discount also available from Park and Ride in Bushmills village (March to October). Green savings applied at admission point.

Shuttlebus to stones is operated by Translink and a separate charge applies to non-members.

Face-painting takes place at a stall within the Visitor Centre.
What to bring and wear
When visiting the Giant's Causeway, wear attire appropriate to walking. A warm, waterproof coat is also advisable regardless of season.
Accessibility
The Visitor Centre is entirely accessible for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users. There is a shuttle bus service to the causeway stones for a small additional fee.
