Summer Solstice Yoga & Flower Crown making workshop

Come and join Victoria from Roots & Feathers, to celebrate the summer solstice with an invigorating and energising yoga practice, followed by making your own flower crown or small posy to take home with you.

  • Booking essential
  • Admission applies

The Summer Solstice is a doorway into the second half of the year. It’s a fiery, exuberant and passionate time, the sun has ripened to its fullness and the earth dazzles us with her beauty of blossoms in the sunshine and the scent of honeysuckle blown on the breeze.

At the summer solstice, as the year turns, we are given a chance to pause and reflect. By working with the ebb and flow of the year in this way, we balance shadow and sunlight in our lives.

The gathering will begin with an hour Vinyasa yoga flow to honour this powerful time of year and is dedicated to the specific season and energy around us.

In the second half of the workshop, we will sit and pause, and create a beautiful flower crown or small posy with seasonal summer flowers and enjoying strawberries and marshmallows as we do so.

Saturday 18th June 2 pm - 4 pm.

Fyne Court Music Hall.

Please note that some yoga experience is necessarily as the flowing nature of the class is not suitable for complete beginners.

Please wear appropriate clothing comfortable for the practice.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00
