Meet the bees

Ever wondered what goes on within a Bee Hive or wanted to know more about the Honey Bee? This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the new Chirk Castle bees under the watchful eye of their keeper - bee suits will be provided!

  • Booking essential

Join estate bee keeper John Beavan at the Chirk Castle, for the second year of these popular events. John is an experienced beekeeper who lives locally and will be keeping several hives on the estate as well as offering some beekeeping themed experiences for visitors.

During this approximately 45 minute experience you will learn about keeping bees from John, get dressed up in your own bee suit, have a look at some of the tools of the trade and then open one of his hives and meet the bees.
