What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

All vehicles must display a valid parking ticket.
National Trust members: Free parking, please scan your membership cards at the pay & display machine to obtain your ticket.
Non-members: Please purchase your ticket at the pay & display machine. Your parking fee will go towards the care, maintenance and conservation of the parkland and ensure that the parking areas are maintained. Please note, the machines do not take notes, so please ensure you have coins with you. However, if needed, visitors can pay for parking by notes or card at our visitor reception.
There is no charge for blue badge holders in the allocated areas.
Coach parking is free, but please book in before you visit.
There is no charge for motorcycles.
Free charging points are provided for electric vehicles, standard car park charges apply (National Trust members free). For up to date status, click here.
No overnight parking.
