Learn all about the Winn family's love of horses and the hidden areas of the stable block that visitors don't normally see.

Join a friendly stable guide to discover the history of this fascinating building, wind your way up into the hayloft and see the Riding School from the viewing platform as the aristocracy would have done. Tours last approx. 45 minutes and do include several stairs.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Please note...

Peak ticket applies 2 March - 3 November, Wednesday - Sunday (plus Bank Holiday Mondays); and 7 - 22 December, Saturday and Sunday.

Off-peak ticket applies every day 1 January - 1 March, 4 November - 6 December and 23 - 31 December; also, Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) and Tuesdays 2 March - 3 November.

Parking is free for National Trust members. If you're not a member the following parking charges apply:

Between 2 March and 3 November:

£7 all day, £4 after 3pm, £2 after 5pm. Coaches £10.

Between 1 January - 1 March and 4 November - 31 December: £4

Access to the Parkland is free all year round.

The tour covers uneven floors and steep steps - please remember to wear sturdy footwear (no flip-flops).
There are some stairs to climb and some low ceilings on this tour.
