During the autumn families can take part in the 'Stones discovery' walk to discover more about the stone circle.

This is a self-led trail around the stone circle to add a bit more interest for smaller children during their visit to Avebury. This will bring to life the history of Avebury and the fascinating discoveries in the henge and stone circle. Transport yourself back in time as you follow the trail. Collect your trail from the visitor reception.. Visitors may wish to visit the museum afterwards to learn a little more.

- Pick up your free 'Stones discovery' trail in the Visitor Reception in the Barn.
- What to bring and wear
- Avebury is a countryside site and the stone circle has little shelter if the weather is poor. The ground is tufty and uneven and there are often sheep. Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear.
