Gardener's question time

Chat to one of the garden team to discover more about Avebury Manor Garden or ask a question to solve a problem you've been having with your own garden!

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

On the last Friday of every month between March and October, a member of the garden team will be chatting to visitors and answering questions between 2-3pm in the Monk's Garden. You can always talk to the friendly garden team but at this time of the month you know exactly where our head gardener will be to answer all of your questions!

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

Admission is free to the stone circles. English Heritage members have free entry to the museum.

Children under five year are free of charge.

Family ticket is for 2 adults and up to 3 children.

The car park is pay and display, free to National Trust and English Heritage members.  Charges are £7 all day (£4 after 3pm).  Larger vehicles including buses, camper vans, vans are £10 all day (£7 after 3pm)
