100 years of Lacock WI

An exhibition celebrating 100 years of Lacock Women's Institute which was founded in 1919 by Matilda Talbot, the then resident of Lacock Abbey.

On 9 September 1919, a meeting was held at Lacock Abbey and the decision was made to found a Women's Institute for Lacock village. Now, 100 years later to the day, this exhibition opens to shed a light on the last century of Lacock Women's Institute.

The exhibition takes place in the Manger Barn, not usually open to the public, as part of Heritage Open Days.
