Join a knowledgeable volunteer guide to discover what makes Sizergh's estate so special in the autumn.

  • Booking advisable
  • Free event

You’ll see prehistoric sites at Sizergh Fell and Lane End Farm before strolling through Brigsteer Wood as the leaves begin to change colour overhead. Stop off at Park End bird hide, where you can look out across the wetland and see which over-wintering birds have arrived. Then enjoy clear views across the Lyth Valley from Helsington Church now that the summer haze has cleared. There will be a picnic stop, so bring some sandwiches, or takeaway lunches are available from the café.

This walk is approximately 5-6 miles long.
