Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday we've different activities themed around a story or species, from planting seeds like Mr McGregor, discovering bees like winnie the pooh, to going on a Bear Hunt through the woods. Make sure you check out our Facebook page @NostellNT to see the next theme coming up and look out for special story sessions throughout the year in partnership with Wakefield Libraries. No booking needed, just drop in to the gardens, 10.30 - 11.30am.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Peak ticket applies 2 March - 3 November, Wednesday - Sunday (plus Bank Holiday Mondays); and 7 - 22 December, Saturday and Sunday.
Off-peak ticket applies every day 1 January - 1 March, 4 November - 6 December and 23 - 31 December; also, Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) and Tuesdays 2 March - 3 November.
Parking is free for National Trust members. If you're not a member the following parking charges apply:
Between 2 March and 3 November:
£7 all day, £4 after 3pm, £2 after 5pm. Coaches £10.
Between 1 January - 1 March and 4 November - 31 December: £4
Access to the Parkland is free all year round.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- Meeting point
- The gardens entrance. Any variation on meeting location will be advertised on Facebook beforehand. Under 5s are free, adults will need a ticket, National Trust members free.
- What to bring and wear
- We are outside most of the time, so please wear suitable clothes for getting messy outdoors.
- Spaces are limited per session. If you wish to bring a child minding group please email firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand.
