Snowdrops at Kingston Lacy
Mark the beginnings of a new year by enjoying a walk amongst the snowdrops. Snowdrops flower at Kingston Lacy throughout January and February, though the best time to see them is normally in February. Normal property admission applies.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Walk through the Kingston Lacy gardens at this time of year and you will find carpets of brilliant white.
The Victorian Fernery is a good place to start before meandering down the Lime Avenue and on to Lady’s Walk, where Henrietta Bankes first planted snowdrops in the early 1900s.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|

From March to the end of October we offer a twilight ticket price from 4pm - 6pm. Twilight tickets are valid for entry to the garden and parkland (including the Woodland Trail) only.
If you are visiting Badbury Rings on the wider estate please note that there is a car parking charge for non members of £1 for two hours or £3 for the day.
The group price is only available if pre-booked - please call 01202 843734 or email email@example.com.
- Unfortunately dogs are not welcome at this event.
- What to bring and wear
- At this time of year some paths may be wet or muddy, please wear appropriate footwear.
- Most areas of the gardens are wheelchair accessible via gravel paths. Some paths in the Fernery are narrow and not wheelchair friendly.
