Renowned singer songwriter David McAlmont delves into the closets of the UK's historic houses to explore LGBTQ histories and their contemporary significance to create a new performance, girl.boy.child.
- Booking essential
Following a sell-out premier in London, girl.boy.child comes to Smallhythe, home to Christopher St John whose life and writing was a major source of inspiration behind this unique performance.
The performance is the culmination of research during the National Trust's 2017 national public programme, Prejudice and Pride, and a collaboration with the University of Leicester's Research Centre for Museums and Galleries (RCMG). It shines a light on many of the houses' LGBTQ heritage.
