Autumn on the Sizergh estate

The delights of Sizergh change with the seasons, so join our volunteers to discover the best bits of autumn out on the estate.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

You’ll see prehistoric sites at Sizergh Fell and Lane End Farm before strolling through Brigsteer Wood. After this you’ll carry on to a viewpoint overlooking Park End wetland which is home to a variety of bird species (you might want to bring some binoculars). Further along you’ll be able to enjoy views over the Lyth Valley from Helsington Church before returning to Sizergh. Please note this walk is approx 5 miles long and will finish at roughly 3pm, so you might want to bring a packed lunch!
