Bournemouth National Trust Volunteer Group
Thinking about volunteering and want to be part of a group? The Bournemouth National Trust Volunteer Group helps our staff with hands-on involvement, organising conservation days and weekend events. Activities range from footpath and step conservation to planting and coppicing.
Who we are
The association are a group of people who enjoy activities such as a day in the countryside assisting with practical conservation work under the guidance of a warden. They meet at various National Trust Properties in Dorset, usually on a Sunday. They also help with stewarding at a number of social events at Kingston Lacy and Corfe Castle.
Some members enjoy going to more distant properties such as Stourhead, Golden Cap and even as far as Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire. Sometimes the association joins with other groups in various parts of the country.
The members are of mixed ages and are from different walks of life. Anyone who is reasonably fit and aged 16 or above is welcome to become a member.
