Explore Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trails
Are you ready for a winter adventure? From 4 December 2021, you're invited to join Percy the Park Keeper and his animal friends in giving nature a helping hand at the places in our care.
Step into Percy's wellies for the day as his helper and join in the fun by taking part in our winter activity trails throughout December 2021 and January 2022.
Go on a winter wander with Percy and friends
In association with Percy the Park Keeper, we've created activity trails that'll bring the whole family closer to nature this winter. Percy loves spending time outside with his animal friends, just like our staff and volunteers who look after the gardens, parklands and countryside you love. But winter is a very busy time and he needs your help to look after nature and wildlife.
Percy's left a special note, just for you, at the beginning of the trail asking you, along with his animal friends, to find his equipment so he can complete his winter tasks. At the end of the trail, your hard work will be rewarded with a prize, and you'll be able to take a selfie with Percy and his friends to share with us on social media, if you like.
Are you ready to step into Percy's wellies and become his helper for the day? Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trails are happening at many National Trust places throughout December 2021 and January 2022, so find your nearest activity trail below.
How you're helping nature and wildlife
You might be surprised by the amount of wildlife you can see during the winter months. When exploring the places you love, keep your eyes peeled for deer, squirrels, robins, red kites and starlings. Take notice of the glittering frost on the grass on a crisp day and see if you can spot any winter flowers dotting the ground. The time you spend with us during winter helps us look after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy. Every visit supports our work to look after gardens, parks, historic houses and unique objects.
