Hertford Association

The Gothic Tower on Johnson's Hill on the Wimpole Estate, Cambridgeshire.

The aim of the Hertford Association is to enhance our members’ enjoyment of the National Trust while raising funds and giving support to local places and national appeals.

Members live in the Lea Valley area, stretching from Hertford through Ware to Cheshunt and surrounding villages.

We organise monthly talks and a range of outings and holidays, and there is also the opportunity to join our Ramblers or Craft groups.

The Ramblers group caters for all abilities, regularly exploring the Hertfordshire countryside, while the Craft group meet monthly and cover a wide spectrum of crafts.

Properties that we support include Wimpole House, Anglesey Abbey, Shaw’s Corner and Hatfield Forest, and we recently financed the purchase of a Highland cow and a horse at Wicken Fen.

Monthly meetings are held at the Hertford Theatre (formerly Castle Hall) on the first Monday of the month - except when it's a Bank Holiday and then it is moved back a week.

Have a look at our 2017 programme of talks and outings.
