The aim of the Hertford Association is to enhance our members’ enjoyment of the National Trust while raising funds and giving support to local places and national appeals.
Members live in the Lea Valley area, stretching from Hertford through Ware to Cheshunt and surrounding villages.
We organise monthly talks and a range of outings and holidays, and there is also the opportunity to join our Ramblers or Craft groups.
The Ramblers group caters for all abilities, regularly exploring the Hertfordshire countryside, while the Craft group meet monthly and cover a wide spectrum of crafts.
Properties that we support include Wimpole House, Anglesey Abbey, Shaw’s Corner and Hatfield Forest, and we recently financed the purchase of a Highland cow and a horse at Wicken Fen.
Monthly meetings are held at Fletcher's Lea in the grounds of Ware Priory, High Street, Ware (SG12 9AL) at 8:00pm on the third Thursday of the month - except August and September. There is free parking on site and in an adjacent car park. Visitors are welcome £3.00.
In line with Government guidelines we have cancelled all Hertford Association meetings and outings until and including July and plan to reconvene in September.
