Manchester National Trust Volunteers

Gardener volunteers at work at Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, Cheshire

Manchester National Trust Volunteers (MNTV) meets most Sundays to work at National Trust places throughout the North West. A couple of times a year we travel further afield, such as to the Lake District, for weekends away where we take part in conservation work.

What we do

Volunteers can come as often as they like. Some come every week and some much less frequently. We take part in conservation activities ranging from rhododendron bashing and fence construction to cotton grass planting and hedge laying. No previous experience is necessary; just enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty. We do ask that if you are aged between 16 and 18, you bring an adult with you.
Join us for some fun, fresh air and to see how the National Trust is working to maintain our fabulous gardens and countryside.
