Newton Abbot Association
The Newton Abbot Association was started in 1983 and has an active membership.
We are a local Association providing support to the National Trust by raising money for conservation and development projects
Our usual programme consists of:
- Illustrated talks by guest speakers, from September until March, on a wide variety of topics.
- Day trips from February until October, by coach, or make your own way. Visiting historic houses, buildings, gardens of interest and National Trust properties.
- Opportunities to meet on a social basis such as an early New Year lunch, an annual dinner and other social engagements
You do not need to be a member of the National Trust to join our Association, although we thoroughly recommend it. Trust membership includes admission to all of their properties. We send out an informative quarterly newsletter with booking forms for events and trips. To cover postage/printing we currently have a nominal membership fee.
