Newton Abbot Association
The Newton Abbot Association was started in 1983 and has a very active membership of almost 200 members.
We are a local Association providing support to the National Trust by raising money (approximately £4000 per annum) for conservation and development projects
Our usual programme consists of:
Illustrated talks by guest speakers, from September until March, on a wide variety of topics.
Day trips from February until October, by coach, with pick-ups around Newton Abbot, Ipplepen and Bovey Tracey. Visiting historic houses, buildings, gardens of interest and National Trust properties.
Opportunities to meet on a social basis such as an early New Year lunch, an annual dinner and a pre-Christmas social (in the past, a quiz/fish and chip supper)
During the year we have a short UK break and a longer, usually Continental, holiday, again by coach travel.

You do not need to be a member of the National Trust to join our Association, although we thoroughly recommend it. Trust membership includes admission to all of their properties. We send out an informative quarterly newsletter with booking forms for events and trips. To cover postage/printing we currently have a membership fee of only £8 per annum.
