Are you interested in making the most of your National Trust membership? Why not join your local supporter group?
It's a great way of meeting people, enjoy special talks, visits, holidays and other social events. You'll also be helping a great cause. Financial contributions are made from time to time to projects at local Trust properties selected from a wish list issued by the Regional Office. Other than Blickling, our nearest National Trust place, we have also recently assisted the Brancaster Millennium Centre, Painting Conservation work at Oxburgh Hall and Archival Storage at Felbrigg.
Meetings with a variety of speakers delivering illustrated talks are held most months from October to April, on Sunday afternoons, beginning at 2.30 pm, at the City Academy Norwich, Bluebell Road, Norwich, NR4 7LP. Examples of recent talks include The Burston Strike School’, ‘The Armistice’ and ‘All about Climate Change’.
A holiday is organised each year usually lasting five days. Travel is by executive coach from Norwich, staying at hotels, with daily coach outings to places of interest in the area. Recent holidays have been based in Gloucester and The Lake District.
Coach and theatre outings take place throughout the year. Recent trips have taken us to Ayscoughfee Hall and Easton Walled Gardens, Belton House and Euston Hall.
Current annual subscription rates (2019) are: £10 for family membership or for members living at the same address; £6 for individual members. This covers administrative costs and the distribution of a quarterly Centre Newsletter which keeps members up to date with events.
