In partnership with the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team, the event welcomes families for a whole host of activities during the dusky hours to celebrate the end of summer.

Last year familiies took part in rockpooling, snorkelling, watersports tasters, and a tour of the bird reserve.

Kids can also look forward to a scavenger hunt, storyteller, beach games, crafty activities like seashell necklaces and lots more.

But the highlight of the evening is the Sundown Parade, showcasing sea-themed sculptures carefully constructed by local school children, and guided by glass lanterns that visitors can decorate on the day.

" The atmosphere at this event is really special. We see familiar and new faces every year, and we often hear visitors say how much they enjoy being on the beach during the sunset and into darkness. "
- Emma Reece, South Devon Ranger
