Running along the South West Coast Path at SWOF

A wide range of trail running courses by Mud and Sweat, with everything from a very friendly 1.5km run or classic mid-distance 10km to a half or full off-road marathon.

Trail Running

A number of exciting trail-running races of differing lengths will be taking place during SWOF, ranging from fun runs that people of any age and level of experience can enjoy, through to longer challenges that will explore the spectacular sections of the South West Coast Path and singletrack trails that surround the festival site.

Courses start with a very friendly 1.5km run, travel through the classic mid-distance of 10km and extend to half- and full off-road marathons. All routes maximise the potential of the area, taking in the most beautiful, remote and challenging elements of the sensational South Devon coastline.

Longer courses will trace stretches of the South West Coast Path, wending high above the sea and offering runners views down onto beaches, bays and breaking waves, before diving deep into verdant valleys, scaling the rugged Dragons Back and serving up vistas over Salcombe and the little fishing village of Hope Cove.

‚ÄčThe shorter routes 1.5km, 3km and 6km will take place on Saturday 6 October. The 10km, half marathon and full marathon will take place on Sunday 7 October. Participants can enter one or more events.

The routes will be marked by arrows and tape and be overseen by marshals along the way. For the longer courses on the Sunday, there will be drinks stations.

There are some age restrictions for different course lengths so do check when entering. Medals will be awarded to all finishers and there will be small prizes to the top two placings in each category.
