Southport and Formby Association

A couple walking in the gardens at Speke Hall, Garden and Estate, Merseyside.

Welcome to the National Trust’s webpage for Southport and Formby Association (SoFA). We have over 250 members from Southport, Formby and the surrounding areas. We support the Trust and look for ways of promoting it locally. The key aims of our Association are the enrichment and enjoyment of our members.

We welcome members of the National Trust, National Trust for Scotland and Trust volunteers into the Association.  We add value for our members by arranging social events, talks, outings and short holidays.

We also liaise closely with staff at our local properties and learn about their plans and projects following which we provide financial support to help them fulfil their work.

Local properties that have benefitted from our donations include Rufford Old Hall, Formby Point, Hardman’s House and Speke Hall together with others in south Manchester and Cheshire.
