Storm Damage

Winter storms wreaked havoc along our coastline and left us with a huge repair bill, with much work still to be done.

Protect our coast

We need to raise £250,000 to replace funds that have already been spent as a result of the storms. We're preparing our places for winter, and there is still a lot of work to do at the 742 miles of coastline in our care.
With further high tides predicted and the ever present risk of further storms this winter we need your support now.

Thanks to you our beaches were ready for summer

Thanks to generous donations in the past we had money in the fighting fund to carry out much needed work before the summer season began.
With some repairs undertaken, many people were able to enjoy the seaside places they love.
The slipway at Kynance was made safe, Brownsea was made accessible and Rhossili got a new coastal path that has stood up well to thousands of eager feet over the summer.
But the repairs have come at a huge cost, and whilst some have been covered by donations, we estimate that our total repair bill will run into many thousands of pounds.
That has left our fighting fund – set up to cover emergency repairs like this – seriously depleted.
