Sea kayaking

A family kayaking

Why not take out a kayak to explore the rugged coastline at SWOF this year? Perfect for all levels and abilities.

The South West Outdoor Festival is working with local experts at Lizard Adventure to offer sea-kayaking experiences during the festival weekend. Sessions are suitable for people with any level of ability and will take place on stable sit-on-top kayaks. During the guided trip you will glide through emerald seas to explore hidden bays and caves, learn about the local wildlife and natural history, and view the coast from a completely different perspective. You will be provided with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, and only need to bring with you swimwear, a towel, and old trainers or beach shoes. Fully qualified guides will run through safety procedures on the beach and explain basic paddling techniques.

Depending on the weather conditions on the day, activities will take place at a few different sites on the Lizard peninsula: Mullion Cove OR Cadgwith Cove. All are less than 30-minutes’ drive from the festival site at Penrose (you will need to take your own transport from the festival to the launch site).

Sea kayaking trips cost £48 per person, last three hours and will take place on Saturday and Sunday of the festival at 2pm. There are only 8 places available. This is a popular activity and we encourage you to pre-book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. For more information and booking instructions click here or call 07845 204 040.
