The Torbay Centre was founded in 1978 and currently has over 300 members, drawn mainly from the Bay towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.

What we do

In pursuing our aims of enhancing membership of and raising funds for the National Trust, we organise a series of social events such as coffee mornings, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners at a local hotel during the winter months.
In the summer we organise monthly day coach outings, which include visits to local Trust properties and other historic houses and gardens.
We have also arranged Christmas shopping trips, visits to various carol concerts at Exeter Cathedral, New Year’s Viennese concerts at Exeter University and trips to the Theatre Royal, Plymouth.
Short break holidays to destinations all over the UK have included Chester, Sandringham, Salisbury and the Peak District.
Annually, we make a donation from funds raised for local and national projects of the National Trust.
