Tyne Valley Association

Visitors in the rock garden in front of the house at Cragside, Northumberland.

Our Association was established in 1991 to provide a forum for those wishing to learn more about the National Trust. Members of the National Trust and Scottish National Trust plus volunteers are welcome into our Group.

We mainly draw our members from South-East Northumberland but some come from Newcastle and North Northumberland and we are happy to welcome anyone who is prepared to travel to Hexham where we meet.

What we do

We support all properties within the North East with donations and the provision of volunteers. Over the last few years, we've provided financial support for Wallington, Cragside, the Northumberland Coast. This year, we've given our support to Lindisfarne and the Farnes.
During winter months we arrange monthly talks. During the summer, day trips and a 3-4 night holiday to a more distant area. This year we're going to Buckinghamshire.
We're a relatively small (current membership is 162) and friendly group that tries to make anyone joining us very welcome.
We would like to tell you more about our group; follow the link on the right of the page for more information and contact details.
