Woodford and District Centre

Visitors on an insect hunt at Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve, Cambridgeshire.

This Centre was founded in 1968 initially to support The Neptune Coastal Campaign, now renamed Enterprise Neptune. We have a growing membership drawn from the local area.

We raise funds for National Trust enterprises in the Eastern area, through days out in the summer, visits to London sites and talks during the winter, plus an annual holiday to places in the UK. The trips and holidays provide an ideal opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed setting, at the various venues and at the hotels in the evenings.

In our fifty year existence we have contributed over £200,000 to various National Trust projects.

You would be very welcome to join us. Our winter talks are held  at All Saints Church Hall, Woodford Green, and the Memorial Hall, South Woodford. (Visitors entrance fee is £3, members of our National Trust Centre and volunteers get free entry). You can register as a member when you arrive and your entrance fee to the meeting will be refunded.
