Your gifts to the landscape
See how your gifts in wills are helping to preserve our historic sites and landscapes and learn more about ancient settlements such as the one at Slindon in West Sussex.
John Springthorpe Hunt’s gift in his will is helping us to learn about how people lived in the late Iron Age and Romano-British settlement at Slindon, West Sussex.
Another gift helped volunteers excavate the site surrounding Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire – and discover a beautiful mosaic floor made by Roman craftsmen.
Two more recent gifts have also contributed towards improving visitor access to the Bath Skyline – one of our most popular of all walking trails. The work has meant signifantly better access routes for people wanting to do this spectacular walk and it has also helped create a new parkrun.
