About Chaplain's Lodge

This Victorian gate lodge has been elegantly restored and has a huge private garden.

Chaplain’s Lodge is an elegantly restored mid-Victorian stone gate lodge. As well as a large basement room, the cottage boasts an extensive private garden and seating area. Access to neighbouring Chaplain House can be arranged for larger groups.

Take advantage of free entry to Tyntesfield and explore its beautiful manor and  historic parkland. The support from your stay at Chaplain’s Lodge helps to preserve these special historic places for everyone to enjoy.

From here a 25 minute drive will see you in the centre of Bristol. From Brunel’s impressive suspension bridge, to the city’s famous harbour, there is a huge amount to see and do in the south west’s largest city. Head in the opposite direction to Victorian seaside town, Clevedon with its iconic bandstand and pier.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
