About Cider Cottage

Tucked away on the Buckland Abbey estate with its own private garden and a bright interior.

Stay on the 700-year-old estate of Buckland Abbey in this two-bedroom cottage. It’s tucked away in its own flower-rich garden just off the main visitor route. You’ll be able to walk around the grounds of the estate as you please, before returning to this peaceful hideaway.

Inside hosts a bright and modern space with room for four people and one dog. Pick up a dog walking guide from the Visitor Welcome area and follow routes through woodland and along the river Tavy. Guests are invited to explore the house free of charge and enjoy a cream tea on us!

Further afield, discover Britain’s naval heritage in Plymouth and explore the nearby market town of Tavistock, the perfect place to sample some delicious Devon produce. You’ll also be on the fringes of Dartmoor and less than an hours’ drive to the Devonshire coastline.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
