About Cider Cottage
Tucked away on the Buckland Abbey estate with its own private garden and a bright interior.Stay on the 700-year-old estate of Buckland Abbey in this two-bedroom cottage. It’s tucked away in its own flower-rich garden just off the main visitor route. You’ll be able to walk around the grounds of the estate as you please, before returning to this peaceful hideaway.
Inside hosts a bright and modern space with room for four people and one dog. Pick up a dog walking guide from the Visitor Welcome area and follow routes through woodland and along the river Tavy. Guests are invited to explore the house free of charge and enjoy a cream tea on us!
Further afield, discover Britain’s naval heritage in Plymouth and explore the nearby market town of Tavistock, the perfect place to sample some delicious Devon produce. You’ll also be on the fringes of Dartmoor and less than an hours’ drive to the Devonshire coastline.

Parking: Parking for one car close to the cottage and a further space in the visitor car park 250 metres away.
Garden: There is a small enclosed garden and a patio area at the front of the cottage.
Mobiles/Signal: There is limited mobile phone coverage at this cottage and across the estate.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Logs: An additional basket of logs can be purchased for £8 by contacting the Visitor Welcome area.

Cottage guests have free entry to Buckland Abbey during opening hours, subject to seasonal opening hours.
A free basket of logs wil be in the cottage upon arrival.
Cottage guests are provided with a 10% discount voucher for use in Buckland Abbey shop. Subject to seasonal opening hours.
Please note: There is a pond opposite the cottage so children should be supervised.
Vehicles and estate buggies operate in the area.
Adjacent farmland is used for grazing sheep and cattle so please do not disturb the animals.
