A Victorian lodge set within a secluded woodland on the Arlington estate.
Once a Victorian gardener’s lodge, this cosy two-bedroom nook sits at the top of a little-used driveway, accessed from the A39, behind elegant wrought-iron gates. Originally planned to be the grand entrance to the estate, it looks out over the woodland and wildflowers of the 600-year old Arlington Court. Inside, classic interiors and a log-burner combine with a modern kitchen and bathroom with underfloor heating.
You can bring your dog here too. With miles of footpaths that criss-cross the 2,700 acre estate straight on your doorstep, you’ll never be short of walking routes for you and pup.
The town and beach of Barnstaple is just six miles from here. You’ll also be on the outskirts of Exmoor National Park, so it won’t take you long to drive into its hilly moorlands and wooded valleys.
Ground floor facilities. Steps within the cottage, including a small step from the hallway to the sitting room and from the sitting room to the back hallway.
