Thrang has been enjoyed as a holiday home since the 1950s and although its interiors have been updated, the notion of it being a rural hideaway has remained the same. You’ll be tucked away amongst the fells and streams of the Duddon Valley, where access to the house is through working farmland and across a wooden footbridge. This rustic farmhouse is very remote and in the most peaceful of places. Inside reveals a classic farmhouse interior where many original features remain, from the old cottage range and slate floors to the low beamed ceilings and dark wooden floorboards.

The Duddon Valley offers local low level walking straight from your doorstep. If you’re up for a challenge you’ll not be far from the higher fells of Scafell and Scafell Pike. There are also opportunities for pony trekking, fishing and cycling in the local area.
