Stay on the shores of Loweswater in this traditional semi-detached Lake District farmhouse. It’s full of charm inside with large spacious rooms, a farmhouse kitchen and period features throughout. It looks over the lake and is surrounded by plenty of open space for children to play.
You’ll be encompassed by woodland and open farmland with views across the valley. Take the 4 mile walk around the lake and finish up at the nearby pub. For a more challenging trail, hike to the top of Melbreak which offers panoramic views of the Buttermere valley.
Further afield, drive 20 minutes to Whinlatter Forest Park for mountain biking adventures. Wordsworth House at Cockermouth is just a 25 minute drive to the north from the cottage.
