About Old House

A farmhouse retreat close to the South West Coast Path with traditional fireplace.

Let the dinner sizzle on the BBQ as you watch the sun set over the fields and ocean surrounding this slate-hung farmhouse, which is adjoined by West House. You’ll have your own enclosed sea-view garden, where you, the family and up to two dogs can chill out. And for those cool autumn evenings, the traditional fireplace and cosy interiors inside will keep you snug.

Old House has views towards the towering headland, Dodman Point and loops onto the South West Coast Path, giving you miles of walking trails to explore. You’ll be halfway in between pretty fishing villages, Polruan and Polperro which are connected by the coastal path.

And for a lazy beach day walk to secret beach Lansallos Cove or for a larger beach perfect for paddling, drive 10 minutes to Lantic Bay.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
