About Tiffy's
A little bolt-hole on the tip of the Roseland peninsula with a military past and miles of sea views.Based on a former military fortification site, Tiffy’s started life as the workshop of the artificer or the ‘tiffy’. Now it plays host to a snug one-bedroom nook where sea views are aplenty. You’ll have your own little patch of grass just in front of the cottage where you sit back and relish the views.
It sits on the very tip of the Roseland Peninsula, on St Anthony Head, which the Trust bought back in 1959. You’ll be surrounded by its preserved military history, with the former officer’s quarters just next to the cottage and the gun battery close by. What’s more, by staying here you’ll be supporting us to maintain and preserve this special historic site.
Visit the nearby bird hide and spot some of the illusive wildlife that inhabits this part of Cornwall. Keep an eye out for fulmars, shags and grey seals basking on the rocks below. You could also loop onto to the South West Coast Path and explore the cliffs, creeks, woods and beaches of the Roseland Peninsula. Or jump on a passenger ferry and visit the coastal towns of St Mawes and Falmouth.
