This cosy farmhouse has low-beamed ceilings, a snug and an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with woodburner. It's on the banks of the River Cleddau; just follow the path down from the garden to the water’s edge. You can walk along the riverbank, past salt marshes, tidal creek and through ancient woodlands.

The sandy beaches of Broad and Little Haven are just a 20-minute drive to the west. The cottage is also a great base for exploring the unspoilt coastline of Pembrokeshire. Hop onto its coastal path for walks along the headlands or explore the coast by canoe. You can hire a canoe or kayak at Stackpole Quay, about a 45-minute drive away, or book onto a guided tour.

For the nearest town, drive 10 minutes to Haverfordwest, which has pubs, cafés and a 12th-century Norman castle. St. David's – Britain's smallest city – is also within driving distance.

Another holiday cottage, Little Milford Lodge (sleeps four), is nearby and both cottages can be booked together for a group stay.
