About Let's get batty at SlindonGet batty as you get up close and personal with the winged wonders.
Like bats, this holiday has a largely nocturnal schedule: the working day will start in the afternoon with classroom sessions and practical tasks, and then you’ll work until around midnight to get up close and personal with these winged wonders. The rest of the day can be spent recovering and exploring the beautiful local countryside. With the direction of local experts you’ll be surveying bats emerging from Trust buildings and walking transect routes of around 2 hours a night on steep and uneven downland on the Slindon Estate. A good level of fitness is required and some bat-detector experience is desirable although prior knowledge is not essential.
