A distinctive Robin Hood’s Bay red-roofed cottage on the edge of the beach.
Perched on top of the sea wall on Yorkshire’s wild and rugged coastline, this converted loft space makes for a perfect coastal escape for two. Although it’s a one-bedroom loft, it feels spacious inside and benefits from uninterrupted views of the sea.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a historic 17th century fishing village where you can still grab fresh fish when the catch is brought back in. Explore on foot, traffic is strictly limited in the village, and stop in at one of the traditional pubs for lunch. Wainwright’s famous Coast to Coast Walk ends at The Bay Hotel opposite Boatman’s Loft. A little further afield, discover Whitby, just a six mile ramble along the clifftops. Enjoy some of the best fish and chips in the UK before vising the town’s ancient abbey.
