Trail running races at SWOF

A runner heading along the Jurassic Coast

A wide range of trail runs were due to be taking place at SWOF 2020. Due to the evolving situation with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, and updated government advice about working arrangements, it has unfortunately become necessary to cancel the 2020 South West Outdoor Festival. If you have purchased a ticket to this event you will receive a refund.

The South West Outdoor Festival will feature three days of running around the terrific trails and through the woods surrounding Golden Cap and stretching out along the World Heritage listed Jurassic Coast.

Organised by the wonderful people at White Star Running, the challenges start on the evening of Friday 18 September, with a 5km dusk run kicking off the action.

On Saturday 19 September individuals, pairs and teams of three of four runners can take part in the Frolicosaurus, completing laps of a sensational 8km circuit around the Golden Cap estate, carrying a dinosaur squeakie as a baton (yes, really); this race will continue for 8 hours, and you can do one lap or keep running for the entire period - the individual or team that chalks up the most miles in their category wins, but everyone who does at least one loop gets a medal and goody bag.

Finally, super Sunday will see the kids’ races, a 10km race and an off-road half marathon taking in some of the best sections of the South West Coast Path.

Please note, entry to these running challenges is not included in your festival ticket. Demand is high and spaces are limited, book your spot on these amazing running experiences and races by clicking here.

Spectators in attendance of those running in events will need to purchase a festival ticket to SWOF. This can be done by clicking here.
