A celebration of snowdrops

Discover a beautiful carpet of snowdrops in the woodland at Wallington. With your help we’ve planted 300,000 in the past three years and we’re doing it all again this year with another 100,000 to plant. Take part in a snowdrop sculpture workshop, let our gardeners take you on guided walks through the woodland, and discover the story of this delicate flower as you enjoy the snowdrops and other winter blooms across the estate.

Make a beautiful willow snowdrop sculpture

Look out for the arrival of a larger-than-life willow snowdrop sculpture in the East Wood on 5 & 6 February then join Yeoman Basket Maker, Eddie Glew, for a special workshop on 7 February to make your own. Unleash your artistic side as you learn to craft a three foot tall willow snowdrop sculpture, under Eddie's guidance, to take home to your garden.

Join a guided walk along the winter trail

Join one of our dedicated gardeners for a guided walk along the winter trail through the East Wood on 8 & 22 February. Stroll through the woodland and look out for a carpet of hundreds of thousands of white snowdrops along with delicate wood anemones and bright winter aconites.

Lend a hand with planting snowdrops

Drop in during half-term (10-18 February) and help us plant another 100,000 snowdrop bulbs. The gardening team will be there to show you the ropes and help you get hands-on with nature - all you need is enthusiasm and clothes you don't mind getting muddy!
