Please note that all of our New Forest car parks are now closed to help prevent the further spread of coronavirus. We urge people not to travel here, but local people are still welcome to enjoy our online walking trails as part of their daily exercise, while observing social distancing.
Open heathland areas are dotted with colourful wildflower displays throughout the season. Look out for ground-nesting birds such as the Dartford warbler - March to July is their breeding season, so they'll be establishing territories and building nests.
Dogs are welcome on your New Forest walk, but please keep them on leads to help protest the local wildlife.
