Things to do between Christmas and New Year at Packwood
The carols have been sung, everyone's eaten far too many mince pies and nobody is quite sure what day it is - it must be the time between Christmas and the New Year! If you're looking to get out and about with family and friends, why not pop over to Packwood House?
Once the Christmas festivities are done, it can be hard to fill the days until the New Year comes around. From bracing winter walks to nutcracker inspired decorations, Packwood is back open from Boxing day to fill the lull between Christmas and the New Year. Here are a few reminders of some of the things you'll be able to do.
If you've still got all the family together after Christmas, the grounds here at Packwood provide a great opportunity for you to stretch your legs and explore the wider estate. Why not join us for a walk across the Warwickshire countryside; perfect for families don your wellies on the Welly Walk or if you’re looking for a longer stroll explore the neighbouring canals.

The ground floor of the house continues to offer visitors insights into the life and times of those who lived here and the magical world of the nutcracker is still in place to discover. Our Christmas decorations are still in place until 6 January so come and experience the anticipation of Christmas as Clara is transported to the enchanting world of the Kingdom of Sweets.
Walk out into the landscape and discover the Prospect Room positioned beyond the lake with panoramic views of Packwood’s stunning landscape. This art installation explores the connection between the house and the garden, between internal and external spaces aiming to enhance Packwood’s unique spirit with a creative and contemporary twist.
Don’t forget to pick up our Prospect Room frames from Visitor Reception and head out into the parkland where you can search for alternative vistas in the landscape and see the countryside through a different lens.
The Garden Kitchen Café will be open for hot food and drinks when the weather outside is cold so come and gather round the fire and catch up with family and friends.
