Best time to visit Packwood at Christmas

Packwood can get very busy during the Christmas period. If you’re looking for a quieter experience we recommend weekday visits where possible. Packwood tends to be at its busiest between 11am – 2pm during weekends and school holidays, and house tickets might run out before noon. House tickets are handed out on a first-come-first-served basis for the next available slot, please be aware that you might have to wait up to a couple of hours between your arrival and your allocated slot on the busiest days.

Christmas reflections of Baron's world tour

We invite you to join Baron Ash on his grand adventure. In 1910/11, aged 21, he travelled to 11 countries. Leaving Liverpool in August he started his journey in North America, travelled by boat and train through Asia, Africa and Europe, arriving home in April 1911.  He kept a diary in which he recorded all the cultures he encountered. This Christmas we invite you to enjoy beautifully decorated rooms which reflect the memories of his travels and the countries he visited.

After exploring the house and gardens, stop by the Café for a hot chocolate or hearty winter lunch, and browse the shop for thoughtful Christmas gifts and seasonal treats.

The house is open from 11am to 4pm.

Celebrate the festive season at Packwood, from 29 November – 4 January.
